The Twin Falls School District #411 Board of Trustees is pleased to announce Zach Schaal will be taking the role of Director of Fiscal Affairs starting June 12. They made this announcement Tuesday, May 16 at their board meeting.
The Director of Fiscal Affairs is tasked with a wide variety of duties including coordinating with the superintendent in preparation, administration, and control over the budget; monitoring the enacted budget and providing controls as required; and preparing reports for administrators concerning the status of their budgetary accounts.
Schaal is currently a senior accountant for the College of Southern Idaho where he has worked since 2019. Prior to joining CSI, Schaal worked as a financial analyst for Rabo Agrifinance from 2018 to 2019 and as an audit manager for France, Basterrechea, Wagner & Bunn CHTD from 2010 to 2018. Schaal holds a bachelor’s of business administration and accounting from Carroll College which he received in 2009.
“I am excited to join the team at the Twin Falls School District and serve the staff and students of the district I attended growing up. I look forward to working with and assisting the school administrators on the various financial matters of the district.” Schaal said.
Schaal will fill the role of Rachael Youren who is leaving the district to work in the private sector.
