The Twin Falls School District Board of Trustees is pleased to announce Jen Stokesberry as the new principal at Morningside Elementary School. The new administrative hire was approved at the board meeting May 19, 2021. Stokesberry fills the role previously held by Steve Hoy who is retiring.
Stokesberry is currently the associate principal at Perrine, Sawtooth, and Morningside elementary schools, a role she has held since 2016. She started her career in education as a first-grade teacher at Perrine Elementary School in 2006. In 2010 she moved to third grade and in 2013 she began teaching second grade at Perrine Elementary School.
Stokesberry received a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Idaho State University in 2006 and a Masters in Educational Leadership from the University of Idaho in 2011.
“I am excited to embark upon this new journey. I have worked closely with the Morningside staff and students this year and my heart was immediately drawn to this school,” said Stokesberry. "The teachers, students, and their families are exceptional and I can’t wait to see what we can achieve together next school year. I am proud to be a Mustang!”
