Dear O’Leary Middle School Parents,
We want to let you know that the Twin Falls Police Department responded to a report of a threat of violence to the school over the weekend. The school takes all threats seriously and is taking measures in regard to the student who made the threat. As the threat was reported over the weekend, there will be no interruption to the school day. We believe this is an isolated incident and the police department has determined that there is no ongoing threat to our school or students.
We encourage you to talk with your student about this incident and remind them that if they see or hear anything that might endanger the safety of our schools to report it immediately. As always, we cannot disclose information about the individual student or the disciplinary action they will receive but we can assure you we will follow our policy as it relates to this incident.
We work closely with local law enforcement to maintain a safe educational environment for our students. Thank you to the Twin Falls Police Department for their quick response and cooperation in regards to this incident.
