School Board Meeting Protocols

 

Based on recent guidance from the Idaho State Attorney General’s Office, school board meetings are bound by the State of Idaho Stage 2 Stay Healthy Order meaning the ten-person gathering limit and social distancing are required. In order to comply, this meeting scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on January 11, 2021, will be held virtually through Zoom. The TFSD #411 will provide classrooms at Canyon Ridge High School where community members can watch the live stream if desired. Each classroom must not exceed the ten-person limit. For unscheduled delegations wishing to address the Board there are two options:

  1. Contact the Clerk of the Board, Michelle Lucas, by 4:00 p.m. on Monday, January 11th to be scheduled to address the Board via Zoom. She can be reached at 208-733-6900. 
  2. Sign up at Canyon Ridge High School prior to the meeting. Speakers will wait in one of the classrooms until called to address the board.

Per Board Policy 4105, the comment period will not exceed one hour and speakers are limited to three minutes.  In addition, the Chair may also deny an individual the opportunity to address the Board if the individual has previously addressed the Board on the same subject within the past two months.  Public comment will be taken on matters scheduled on the agenda.
