TFHS: School of Excellence - TFHS Awarded School of Excellence from the Idaho High School Activities Association

The Idaho High School Activities Association (IHSAA) has named Twin Falls High School the 5A School of Excellence for the 2024–25 school year, recognizing the school as having one of the best overall programs in the state.

The Schools of Excellence program is the IHSAA’s highest honor for member schools. It is a year-long, voluntary competition in which schools earn points based on their student-athletes’ achievements in athletics, academics, and sportsmanship. At the end of the year, the top three schools in each classification are recognized for their outstanding programs.

Twin Falls High School has been ranked among the top three schools in its classification for more than a decade, consistently demonstrating excellence across all areas of student life. This year’s first-place finish highlights the school’s ongoing commitment to providing a well-rounded, high-quality experience for all students.

“This award reflects the dedication of our students, coaches, teachers, and community,” said Nancy Jones, principal of Twin Falls High School. “It’s about more than just winning games—it’s about setting high standards in academics, sportsmanship, and teamwork. We’re proud to represent Twin Falls at the highest level.”

Superintendent of Schools Dr. Brady Dickinson also praised the achievement, saying, “Being named the 5A School of Excellence is a testament to the culture we’ve built in the Twin Falls School District, one where student success is measured not just by wins on the field, but also by classroom achievements, character, and community involvement. We are incredibly proud of the leadership at Twin Falls High School and the example they set for schools across Idaho.”

The IHSAA’s School of Excellence award underscores the belief that the true value of high school activities lies not only in competition but also in building character, discipline, and lifelong skills.
