The sounds of jazz once again filled the Snake River Canyon this summer for the 2025 Jazz on the Canyon event. With the support of generous sponsors and attendees, the evening raised an impressive $45,960 for music education in the Magic Valley.
Organized in partnership with the Magic Valley Arts Council, the Twin Falls Education Foundation, and the Magic Valley Music Education Foundation, this year’s event featured a headlining performance by the renowned Crescent Super Band.
Funds from Jazz on the Canyon will go directly toward music programs across the Magic Valley, ensuring students have access to high-quality instruments and opportunities that might otherwise be out of reach. With nearly 65 percent of students in the Twin Falls School District qualifying for free and reduced lunch, community support plays a vital role in making music accessible to all.
“Jazz on the Canyon is one of those rare events that blends great entertainment with local impact,” said Chris Scholes, event organizer. “Every dollar raised stays here in the Magic Valley, helping young musicians find their passion.”
A standing ovation goes out to the sponsors whose generosity brought the music to life: MiddleKauff Ford, Con Paulos Chevrolet, Scholes Dermatology, Mike McBride, Idaho Central Credit Union, First Federal Bank, Falls Brand, TEC Distributing, Lytle Signs, and TitleOne.
“This event is a perfect example of how the arts can unite a community,” said Melissa Crane, Executive Director of the Magic Valley Arts Council. “The setting, the performers, and the cause all come together to create something special for the Magic Valley.”
“Music education fosters creativity, resilience, and connection,” said Katie Rickert, Executive Director of the Twin Falls Education Foundation. “Jazz on the Canyon ensures that these programs will continue to flourish despite the financial challenges they face.”
The Twin Falls School District is grateful for the community’s continued support of music education. Together, we are making sure the music never stops.
