Students hold up their Christmas ornaments and pose for a picture.

Students from Bickel Elementary Dual Immersion Magnet School will have their artwork featured on the Idaho tree beside the National Christmas Tree in President’s Park in Washington, D.C.

This cherished holiday tradition, made possible by the National Park Foundation and the National Park Service, features 59 trees — one representing each U.S. state, territory, and the District of Columbia, as well as the Bureau of Indian Education, Department of Defense Education Activities, and America 250 — decorated with ornaments designed by K–12 students.

The ornaments created by Bickel students celebrate Idaho’s unique culture, landmarks, and history, bringing a piece of home to the nation’s capital.

"We are so proud to see our students’ creativity represented on a national stage," said Jorge Pulleiro, Bickel Principal. "Their artwork reflects not only their talent but also the spirit and pride of Idaho."

The display is open to the public from Dec. 6 through Jan. 1, 2026. Ornaments can also be viewed online at thenationaltree.org/ornaments.
