Shannon Youngman

The Twin Falls School District is pleased to announce that Shannon Youngman has been selected as the new Associate Principal at Lincoln Elementary School for the 2026–27 school year. Youngman, who currently serves as the Associate Principal at Sawtooth Elementary School, will transition to her new role this fall, bringing a wealth of experience in both classroom instruction and administrative leadership.

Youngman has been a key member of the Sawtooth Elementary leadership team since 2023. Her move to Lincoln Elementary allows the district to utilize her proven skills in student support and staff collaboration in a new environment.

“Shannon has a remarkable ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, and families,” said Nancy Murphy, Director of Elementary Programs. “Her experience at Sawtooth has been invaluable, and we are excited to see the positive impact she will continue to make as she brings her leadership and passion for education to the Lincoln Elementary community.”

Youngman’s career in education spans over 15 years. She began as an elementary and middle school teacher in the Buhl School District (2009–2015) and taught fourth grade in the Kimberly School District (2015–2016) before joining the Twin Falls School District team in 2016. Prior to her administrative role at Sawtooth, she served as a fifth-grade teacher at Oregon Trail Elementary School, where she piloted project-based learning.

“I have truly enjoyed my time at Sawtooth Elementary and the wonderful connections I’ve made there,” said Youngman. “I am looking forward to this new chapter at Lincoln Elementary and am excited to get to know the students, staff, and families as we work together to support student success.”

Youngman holds a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Boise State University and received her Master of Science in Educational Leadership through Western Governors University in 2023.
