The Twin Falls School District is excited to announce that registration for the upcoming kindergarten class is now underway. Parents and guardians of children who will be five years old on or before September 1 are encouraged to begin the enrollment process online to ensure a smooth transition into the 2026-2027 school year.
The TFSD uses an online registration form that collects all the information needed for registration, from emergency contacts to bus riding. Completing this form early allows schools to plan staffing and resources effectively, ensuring every new student is set up for success from day one. Parents can access the registration link and detailed instructions by visiting: https://www.tfsd.org/page/kindergarten-registration.
Kindergarten Open Houses
In addition to online registration, all elementary schools within the district will host Open House events during the week of April 20. These events provide a vital opportunity for families to tour classrooms, meet teachers, and ask questions about the kindergarten experience.
The current schedule for Open Houses includes:
Bickel Elementary: March 31 and April 21, 6 p.m.
Harrison Elementary: Thursday, April 23, 4–6:30 p.m.
Lincoln Elementary: Thursday, April 23, 4-5 p.m.
Morningside Elementary: Tuesday, April 21, 5:30–6:30 p.m.
Oregon Trail Elementary: Thursday, April 23, 4:30–6:30 p.m.
Perrine Elementary: Thursday, April 23, 5–6 p.m.
Pillar Falls Elementary: Thursday, April 23, 4-5:30 p.m.
Rock Creek Elementary: Thursday, April 23, 4–5:30 p.m.
Sawtooth Elementary: Tuesday, April 21, 9-9:30 a.m. and 5:30-6 p.m.
What to Bring for Final Registration
While the initial form is online, parents may also visit their child’s designated school during the week of April 20 to complete the process in person. To finalize enrollment, the district requires the following documents:
The child’s certified birth certificate.
The child’s immunization records or exemption documentation.
Proof of residency (such as a utility bill or lease agreement).
“Kindergarten is a major milestone for both children and their parents,” said Nancy Murphy, Elementary Programs Director. “We are proud to partner with our community to build a strong educational foundation, and we look forward to welcoming the Class of 2039 into our schools.”
