Mrs. O’Connor’s fifth grade class had a very special guest yesterday—Principal Gebbie! She stepped in to serve as the executive branch, taking on the role of president for our government lesson. Students presented their proposed laws, and Madame President carefully reviewed each one. In the end, she signed three into law and vetoed three others. Now, students will reconvene to see if they can rally a two-thirds majority to override the vetoes. Everyone worked hard and brought their best ideas forward in hopes of impressing our visiting president!

It is SPIRIT DAY tomorrow. Be sure to wear your Rock Creek gear or school colors. The class in each grade level to wear the most spirit wear on Spirit Day will get the Rock Creek Spirit Stick for their grade. Also, you can bring $1 to purchase a Ninja Flinger.

Students at Rock Creek were given quite a treat when Mrs. Gebbie came and read to students in preparation for Spring testing.

Thank you to the Twin Falls Walmart for delivering the staff at Rock Creek some Teacher Appreciation cheer! They donated snacks and supplies to our teachers. Thanks Walmart!

Rock Creek Teachers got such a fun surprise today! Treats from the trolley and a little break while parent volunteers came in and read to their class. Thanks PTO! You are so appreciated!

We are hoping to see you Thursday, May 15 to get ready to BOUNCE INTO SUMMER! Join us from 4:30-7:00 at the Rock Creek Elementary playground. There will be bounce houses, food trucks, bounce slides, an obstacle course, blow up games, and more. You can purchase a wristband from May 7-14, from your child's teacher for a discounted price of $5. Wristbands are $10 at the door. Wristbands cover all the fun, except for the food trucks. We hope to see you there!
