Congratulations to Nevada Zamora, our School Social Worker and Certified Employee of the Month! 🎉💙

Nevada is a kind, genuine, and hardworking educator who draws inspiration from coworkers who go the extra mile to help others feel seen and heard. She is always rooting for the underdog, and her best days are spent witnessing the confidence and success students feel after using a coping skill she’s taught them. Those moments make a lasting difference far beyond the classroom.

From the Principal:
“Nevada is a kind and compassionate educator who consistently seeks ways to support students socially, emotionally, and mentally, ensuring their academic success. She not only cares deeply for her students, but also provides meaningful support to colleagues and parents while fostering a warm and positive school environment. It has truly been a joy to work alongside Nevada. Her ability to recognize the good in everyone she encounters is both inspiring and uplifting.”

💬 Help us celebrate Nevada by leaving a note of appreciation or sharing how she’s made a difference in the comments!

🏫 Lincoln Elementary is receiving some much-needed heating and air conditioning upgrades, and to protect the learning environment as much as possible, the construction crew comes in after school and works late into the night. 💙 One evening, that dedication turned into an unexpected learning moment.

The construction crew noticed an incorrect sentence (a bellringer activity) left on Ms. Wilson's fifth-grade classroom board and decided to have a little fun. When students arrived the next morning, they discovered the work of the “Construction Dudes.”

Some sharp-eyed students even noticed the Dudes missed a period after tracks. Keeping with classroom expectations, students who pointed out the missing period also wrote two or three positive comments about the crew’s work. Each student shared a note thanking the Construction Dudes for their hard work and care — proof that learning, kindness, and community can happen even after hours. 👏✨
