🏫 Lincoln Elementary is receiving some much-needed heating and air conditioning upgrades, and to protect the learning environment as much as possible, the construction crew comes in after school and works late into the night. 💙 One evening, that dedication turned into an unexpected learning moment.

The construction crew noticed an incorrect sentence (a bellringer activity) left on Ms. Wilson's fifth-grade classroom board and decided to have a little fun. When students arrived the next morning, they discovered the work of the “Construction Dudes.”

Some sharp-eyed students even noticed the Dudes missed a period after tracks. Keeping with classroom expectations, students who pointed out the missing period also wrote two or three positive comments about the crew’s work. Each student shared a note thanking the Construction Dudes for their hard work and care — proof that learning, kindness, and community can happen even after hours. 👏✨

Please help us celebrate our Certified Employee of the Month, Andrea Carr, English Teacher at Magic Valley High School! 🎉📚

Andrea comes from a long line of educators and brings that passion into her classroom every single day. She strives to be the person her dog thinks she is (and honestly, that says a lot!). A true champion for the underdog, Andrea builds meaningful connections with students while keeping them actively engaged in learning. Outside of school, she enjoys snowmobiling and exploring the great outdoors. ❄️🌲

From the Principal:
“Andrea is an inspiration to me, to our staff, and to our teachers. She works hard at building positive relationships with her students while effectively engaging them in content. She constantly goes above and beyond while wearing many hats. If more people were like Andrea, the world would be a better place!”

💬 Join us in congratulating Andrea and leave her a note of appreciation in the comments below!

Families can now fill out an interest form for Bickel Elementary’s Dual Immersion program! This English–Spanish immersion program is open to incoming kindergarteners and a limited number of first-grade students.

This interest form is not the application — it simply lets staff know who would like to receive information about upcoming open houses and get the application directly when it becomes available.

Dual Immersion gives students the opportunity to build strong academic skills while becoming bilingual and biliterate in English and Spanish. If this sounds like a good fit for your family, be sure to complete the interest form to learn more about the next steps.
