🧼✨ Learning about healthy habits can be hands-on and fun!

Joseph Free, Jake Gleckler, and Justin Resch from Twin Falls High School visited Sawtooth Elementary to teach Ms. Hinton’s third graders proper handwashing techniques as part of their Health Occupations class. From germ lotion to inspections, the lesson was interactive, engaging, and meaningful. We loved seeing these students connect and promote healthy habits together!💙

🎶✨ Cherishing a magical moment: Before Christmas Break, O’Leary Middle School choir students brought the spirit of the season to life at their winter concert. Watching all the choir classes sing together was a wonderful experience that makes you stop, smile, and remember why music education is so special! 🎵❤️

🎶 Employee of the Month Spotlight 🎶

Please help us celebrate Calee Fessler, our Classified Employee of the Month and talented Music Teacher at Pillar Falls Elementary! 🌟
Calee finds inspiration in the people in her life who lead with their hearts, like her sisters, parents, grandparents, and mentors, and she brings that same passion into her classroom each day. She chose teaching to make a difference and share her love of music with students. Outside of school, she enjoys sewing, reading, and even once had the unforgettable opportunity to sing in the Notre-Dame Cathedral 🎤⛪

From the Principal:
“Calee is an amazing asset to our building. She is a true team player who consistently goes above and beyond for both students and staff. Her passion, flexibility, and willingness to step in wherever needed make a meaningful impact on our school, and we are so fortunate to have her as part of our team.”

👏 Thank you, Calee, for everything you do!

At Robert Stuart Middle School, math teacher Dianna Walker wanted to make function tables more relatable to her students, so she had them make their own. It is pretty clear that the concept of inputs producing outputs is going to stick with them!

#FlashbackFriday to a powerful Veterans Day lesson at Morningside. 🇺🇸
Kate Jensen’s fourth graders learned about her great uncle, Technical Sergeant Max Wendell Lower—from his 1942 enlistment to his role on the B-24 “Old Baldy,” and the decades-long effort to bring him home through DNA technology. Students wrapped up the lesson with writing and art projects to honor all veterans.

Help us celebrate Kathi Jeroue, behavior paraeducator at O’Leary Middle School, as our Classified Employee of the Month! 💙

Kathi finds working with kids incredibly rewarding and cherishes those unforgettable “aha!” moments. Outside of school, she enjoys golfing and spending time with her grandchildren. One of her most meaningful days came when a student thanked her for helping him through a difficult moment—an example of the compassion she brings to her work every single day.

🌟 From the Principal:
“Kathi brings incredible energy and a willingness to help wherever she’s needed. Known affectionately as ‘The Kid Whisperer,’ she has a remarkable ability to de-escalate situations and create calm and safety for students. Kids connect with her instantly because they feel how deeply she cares. Her presence truly makes our school a better place.”

Congratulations, Kathi! 👏💫

Our community is here to help!
What are you thankful for? At Twin Falls High School, a gratitude campaign brought together students and staff who wrote what they were grateful for on leaves that became a large Gratitude Tree in the main hallway. The project gave everyone a moment to reflect, share appreciation, and celebrate their school community.

There’s still time to make a real difference for students experiencing homelessness! Just $25 provides hygiene supplies, $75 supports extracurricular gear, and $150 feeds a student for a month. Help us reach our goal of $5,000 before Dec. 31 so every student can focus on learning, not survival.

At Lincoln Elementary, students have plenty of entertaining options for activities on Fun Friday. Instead of playing with Legos, Magnatiles, or their Chromebooks, this group of driven learners chose to practice reading and even took on a lesson aligned with the reading instruction their teachers have been trained on. It looks like we have a group of scholars and maybe some teachers in the making here!

Can you find the teacher learning right along with her students in this picture? At Morningside Elementary School, teachers in grades K-5 worked with Jackie Ismail, a DMTI (a math instruction framework) trainer, to improve their mathematical pedagogy through lesson planning and co-teaching. Topics ranged from understanding doubles, bar models, number line work, finding the nearest 10, arrays, ratio tables, word problems, and using models to understand multiplying fractions.

Teacher learns alongside her students
We are excited to recognize Jill Fisher, fourth-grade teacher at Morningside Elementary, as our Certified Employee of the Month! 🎊

Jill is a teacher and mentor who brings learning to life, creating engaging and inspiring spaces for students and colleagues alike. She loves seeing students light up with curiosity and excitement—and her creativity doesn’t stop at the classroom! Outside of school, Jill designs improv and modern quilts, some of which are featured as vinyl art on electrical boxes at Poleline and Blue Lakes. 🎨🧵

📚 From the Principal:
“Mrs. Fisher is the kind of teacher every child deserves. Her classroom is a cognitively rich environment where students are encouraged to wonder, question, and explore. She designs meaningful, hands-on learning experiences and has a special talent for turning simple materials into something magical. She goes above and beyond every day, and our school is better because of her.”

Congratulations, Jill! ✨
