Last month, Bickel welcomed local children’s author Mr. Richard Aldama, who shared his inspiring journey to becoming a writer.

Students were excited and respectful, asking thoughtful questions—and the best part? Mr. Aldama surprised them with free books in English and Spanish to take home!👏❤️

Even before the last school year ended, our elementary instructional coaches were preparing to support the District’s first-year teachers for 2025–26.

Before school started, new teachers attended training on district expectations, curriculum, and programs like CHAMPS, Bridges, and Wonders.

Coaches followed up by giving them the chance to observe veteran teachers in action and ask questions.

Lincoln’s Leadership Team had a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to attend the “15-Day Challenge Training” in Houston!

They learned powerful strategies through the PLC process to break down and teach essential standards—and they can’t wait to bring that knowledge back to our school!

Perrine Elementary, Ms. Waugh’s 4th-grade class learned how to build a strong paragraph—identifying the topic sentence, supporting details, and conclusion.

They edited, typed final drafts, and even illustrated their work to create an “Our First Paragraph” Class Quilt!

On September 12th, during halftime of the football game, CRHS hosted the Caps and Kinders "Meet Me at the 50" Walk.

The Class of 2026 met the Class of 2039 at midfield—connecting seniors with kindergarteners.

It was a special moment filled with nervous excitement, nostalgia, and a powerful reminder of how education brings us full circle. 💫

📜Students in Ms. King’s class celebrated history by recreating the signing of the Constitution—complete with feathered quills and three-cornered hats!

They worked together to write their own classroom Constitution, then each student signed it using a quill and paint. A fun and memorable way to bring history to life!

🍞🧀A new interprofessional collaboration has launched at Oregon Trail in Room 103, bringing together Ms. Oberg (Special Education), Mrs. Reichel (SLP), and Mr. Warner (OT) to support students in building language, fine motor, and functional life skills through engaging, hands-on activities.

With an amazing 2.3:1 staff-to-student ratio, about 15 students participate weekly — and the first-ever “FUNctional Friday” was a huge success! 🎉 Students made grilled cheese sandwiches with help from our incredible paras and special guests: Dr. Dickinson, Dr. Nesmith, and Mrs. Murphy.
