🔙 Flashback Friday!

Last month, students from Canyon Ridge and Twin Falls High Schools spent an incredible day learning about social services right here in Twin Falls. From visiting Clothing Helpers of Magic Valley and shopping for families in need to building bunk beds with Sleep in Heavenly Peace, it was a day full of service, learning, and heart. 💙🛠️

232 Harrison students helped set a world record by joining 784,036 participants from around the globe in sport stacking for 30 minutes. What an incredible opportunity for our students to be part of something so exciting and so much bigger than themselves!

🏀💙 Unified sports in action!
The Unified Basketball Teams from Canyon Ridge and Twin Falls high schools took the court during halftime of the varsity boys basketball game, and the energy was amazing! The students had a great time while demonstrating outstanding sportsmanship and teamwork.

They also hosted a 50/50 drawing, and in a heartwarming moment, the winner, who shared she had never won anything before, chose to donate her winnings back. 💫

A big thank-you to Harley for helping sell tickets and to everyone who helped make this such a memorable and meaningful experience for everyone involved!

Students from Bridge Academy teamed up with Morningside’s first graders to review their literacy unit on Different Lands, Similar Stories. Together, they located each story’s country and wrote an important fact they learned, connecting reading with learning about the world.

It was wonderful to see students collaborating, teaching, and learning from one another! ⭐

Families can now fill out an interest form for Bickel Elementary’s Dual Immersion program! This English–Spanish immersion program is open to incoming kindergarteners and a limited number of first-grade students.

This interest form is not the application — it simply lets staff know who would like to receive information about upcoming open houses and get the application directly when it becomes available.

Dual Immersion gives students the opportunity to build strong academic skills while becoming bilingual and biliterate in English and Spanish. If this sounds like a good fit for your family, be sure to complete the interest form to learn more about the next steps.

At approximately 3:54, the Twin Falls Policy Department and Twin Falls School District were notified of a potential safety concern involving a student reportedly in possession of a weapon on the Blaze Bus transporting Twin Falls High School students. Law enforcement was immediately dispatched, and the bus was pulled over to a secure location to allow for a full investigation.

Officers from the TFPD quickly concluded that the reported student was not on the bus and that there was no ongoing safety threat. The officers released the bus to continue its route. At the same time, TFSD personnel communicated with TFHS families through their mass communication system about the situation. Further investigation by law enforcement into the specific student reported revealed that the claims were unfounded. The incident has been cleared as a false report.

Congratulations to Christina Garcia, our Classified Employee of the Month and incredible Secretary at Bickel Dual Immersion Magnet School!
Christina finds joy in serving and supporting our school community. When she’s not at school, you might find her out on a motorcycle ride 🏍️. While cooking may not be her strongest skill just yet, uplifting others and making a positive difference in everyday moments is where she truly shines.

From the Principal:
“Christina Garcia is truly the pillar of Bickel, and our school would not function without her dedication and commitment. She consistently serves our students, staff, and parents—often without being asked—going above and beyond in everything she does. Most importantly, Christina is a caring human being who puts her heart into her work every single day.”

💙 We are so grateful for you, Christina!

🧼✨ Learning about healthy habits can be hands-on and fun!

Joseph Free, Jake Gleckler, and Justin Resch from Twin Falls High School visited Sawtooth Elementary to teach Ms. Hinton’s third graders proper handwashing techniques as part of their Health Occupations class. From germ lotion to inspections, the lesson was interactive, engaging, and meaningful. We loved seeing these students connect and promote healthy habits together!💙

At Robert Stuart Middle School, math teacher Dianna Walker wanted to make function tables more relatable to her students, so she had them make their own. It is pretty clear that the concept of inputs producing outputs is going to stick with them!
