✨ We’re excited to celebrate Rock Creek’s Classified Employee of the Month, Kristie Corujo! ✨

Kristie is the heart of the front office. She shows up every day as her genuine self, keeps everything running smoothly, and creates a welcoming and supportive environment for students, staff, and families. Her resilience, authenticity, and commitment to making a difference truly set her apart. Outside of work, she enjoys gardening and relaxing with some reality TV alongside her daughter, though she’d much rather be soaking up the sun on a beach! Her dream? Feeding flamingos on the beach in Aruba. ☀️🦩

Congratulations, Kristie! Thank you for everything you do for Rock Creek each and every day! 🌟

Principal’s Note:
“Kritie Corujo is the heartbeat of Rock Creek Elementary. She keeps the school running flawlessly every single day, always thinking ahead and making the front office a well-oiled machine. She is a true champion for the kids, serving as a mentor and check-in person for PBIS, supporting students in meaningful ways. Her dedication, foresight, and commitment make her truly indispensable to our Rock Creek school community.”

Harrison hosted a wonderful Family Night celebrating the district’s One District – One Book selection, The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane! 📚✨

Each class showcased art projects inspired by the story, while discussion questions outside classrooms invited families to read and respond together. In the cafeteria, students and families enjoyed hands-on crafts, and an obstacle course following Edward’s journey was a big hit! 🐰

With a great turnout and so many smiles, it was an evening to remember. Thank you to the staff and volunteers who helped make this special event possible! 👏💙

If you stopped by Ms. Greenwood’s Astronomy class before spring break, you might have found yourself playing a board game, all in the name of science. 🎲✨

Students worked together to design and create their own games that demonstrated what they’ve learned about topics like Newton’s Laws of Motion and exoplanets. Activities like this show that assessments don’t always have to be written tests. Sometimes the best way to demonstrate deep understanding is through creativity, collaboration, and a little friendly competition.
