Sparking excitement for School Resource Officer Appreciation! ⚡👮‍♂️

To help celebrate School Resource Officer Appreciation, SRO Strassner added an electrifying twist to our electricity unit! He showed how a taser completes a circuit. The 8th graders got to ask all kinds of questions about life in law enforcement, building connections and jump-starting curiosity along the way. 💡🤝

Big shoutout to Mr. Ruiz and Officer Strassner for breaking down walls and building bridges with our students! 💙

Rewarding Success at Canyon Ridge🎉

Back in December, Canyon Ridge High School library launched “Reward Days” to celebrate classes that meet their goals or show outstanding behavior.
Here’s a look at Mr. Irish and his class as they experienced a fun-filled Reward Day, enjoying board and card games, ping pong, foosball, giant jenga, and even making Valentine’s Day cards 💌

Way to go, Riverhawks students! Keep up the great work! 👏

Lincoln Elementary is celebrating its counselor in style! 👕

Carhartt beanie, cargo pants, polo shirts, a vest, and a lanyard are just a few ways you can spot Mr. Nickerson, Lincoln’s school counselor. He is always on the move, supporting students, staff, and families with care and dedication. The staff may be able to show their appreciation by dressing like him, but only the real Mr. Nickerson can do all the incredible things he does each day.

See if you can spot Lincoln’s one and only counselor 👀✨

Strategic Thinking in Action at Twin Falls High School♟️🧠

Mr. Clark has built a strong sense of community with the Bruins by inviting students to play chess in his classroom when their work is complete and even bringing chess to the cafeteria. He is also teaching logic and problem-solving skills using Rubik’s cubes, creating hands-on opportunities for students to think critically and connect.

It is inspiring to see engagement levels soaring as students learn, collaborate, and challenge themselves each day 🚀✨

The O’Leary Ski Club brought 100 students to Pomerelle Mountain three times this year, building skills and memories every step (and slide) of the way.

Shoutout to Mrs. Hughes for making it all happen and keeping students safe on the mountain! 👏

Fifth-grade students at Sawtooth spent three exciting days competing in “modified” events complete with class-designed team flags and an opening ceremony that kicked off the fun! From carefully crafted curling stones to foil skiers racing the “slopes,” creativity was on full display! Students also learned Olympic facts, practiced math skills tied to each sport, and earned bonus points for great sportsmanship ✨

Congratulations to all our incredible competitors, way to go for the gold! 👏🥇

Hats off to Miss McNeil’s incredibly talented friend! 🎩✨

At the beginning of the school year, each of Miss McNeil’s kindergarten students at Lincoln designed and colored their very own hat, just the way they imagined it. Their drawings were sent off, and this amazing artist brought every single design to life! The finished hats were returned to their creators, and the smiles said it all.

What a thoughtful and unforgettable gift for these little learners! 💛

✨Congratulations to Amy McDaniel, our Classified Employee of the Month at Bridge Academy! 🥳

Amy is a kind and dedicated paraeducator who loves making a difference in the lives of students. She strives to be someone others feel comfortable turning to and works hard every day, something she says she learned from her grandfather. When she’s not supporting students, Amy enjoys reading and watching hockey. Her favorite moments are when former students return to share what they’re doing after Bridge Academy; it makes all the hard days worth it.❤️

From the principal:
“Amy works so hard to support students here at Bridge! She’s learned and developed so much as a paraprofessional the last two years that I’ve worked with her. She does her best, day in and day out. She is always willing to do whatever is asked of her. Her work at Bridge is greatly appreciated!”

💬 Let’s hear it for Amy! Drop a note of thanks or share a favorite memory with her below.

Harrison celebrated Be an Upstander Week, the school’s annual anti-bullying initiative! 💙

Students and staff participated in fun dress-up days, including Spirit Day, Solid Color Day, Twin Day, Pajama Day, and Kindness Never Gets Old Day, which coincided with the 100th day of school.

Throughout the week, teachers led lessons on how to identify bullying and empowered students with strategies for what to do if they or others experience it—reinforcing the importance of kindness, courage, and standing up for one another.🫶✨

Over the past two weeks, Ms. Waters’ 6–8 math students at O’Leary Middle School designed and built their own Geometric Cities from the ground up! 🏙️📐

Budding architects identified 2-D and 3-D shapes, applied their knowledge of area and perimeter to thoughtfully plan city layouts, and used shape patterns (nets!) to construct unique buildings and city features.

The project wrapped up with student presentations to Mrs. Mahlke, O’Leary’s librarian, who enjoyed touring a collection of creative, mathematically designed cities.
Each one was as unique as its creator!🤩
