Lincoln’s first graders couldn’t have asked for better weather for their visit to Tubbs Berry Farm! They enjoyed tons of fun activities and each brought home a pumpkin to remember the day.
Both students and teachers had a “berry” good time! 🍓🎉

Harrison Elementary School – Secretary
Cathi first pursued this role so she could share her kids’ schedule—but quickly discovered she was meant for this work. Now she’s the person who keeps the heart of Harrison beating strong every day.
From the Principal:
“Mrs. Smith is the most loyal, hardworking, and caring person I’ve ever known. She keeps our office running seamlessly—even in chaos—and never rests until every need is met. Her kindness, honesty, humor, and steady leadership lift our entire school. I truly could not do my job without her by my side. We appreciate her more than words can express.”

Join us for the Holiday Vendor Market on Saturday, December 6, from 9 AM–3 PM at Canyon Ridge High School.
Shop local, grab a bite, and help support our hardworking FFA students as they raise funds for State CDEs! 🐮🌾

A huge thank you to the local Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for organizing a food drive in honor of the 9/11 Just Serve event. 💙
They collected over 27 totes of food were collected and assembled to support our district’s food pantries and backpack program.
Thank you for putting our community first! 🥫🎒

South Hills Middle School – Special Education Teacher
Mary chose special education because she loves watching students learn and grow. Her best days are the ones when a student accomplishes something independently—a moment that reminds her why she loves this work.
From the Principal:
“We are so grateful for Mary, whose passion and belief in every student truly shine. She celebrates every success, sees each child’s potential, and brings joy to our campus—especially through the school store she proudly runs with her students. Her kindness and teamwork make our school better every day.”

🚸 Shoutout to Dr. Nesmith!
We’re so grateful for leaders who step up wherever they’re needed! Dr. Nesmith did just that by helping out with crosswalk duty at Rock Creek! 👏
Thank you for your dedication and support across our district! 💙

🌟 November Classified Employee of the Month: Garrett Johnson
South Hills Middle School – Head Custodian
Garrett began his job thinking it would just be a job—but the more time he spent with students, the more motivated he became to inspire them to do good. His favorite memory? A birthday when teachers had their students sing to him all day long. He’s not a “birthday guy,” but it made his day.
From the Principal:
“Garrett is the heart of our building. His attention to detail, quick response, and genuine care keep our school running smoothly. He supports staff, greets students with kindness, and steps in without being asked. Garrett models positivity and integrity, and his efforts to involve students in caring for our school build a strong community of respect.”

Learning truly comes alive when curiosity leads the way!

Harrison Elementary School – 1st Grade Teacher
Chelcy’s inspiration to teach came from her mother and her 5th-grade teacher, Miss Kessell—two women who taught her love, support, perseverance, and belief. Today, she brings those same qualities to her first graders.
From the Principal:
“Mrs. Rodriguez is extraordinary. She pushes her students to grow, connects deeply with each child, and pours her heart into her classroom. Former students return year after year to share their lives with her—proof of her lasting impact. This year, she has gone above and beyond to understand and support the unique needs of one of her students. Her dedication enriches the entire Harrison community.”

This real-world connection to classroom learning sparked curiosity and excitement among our students — and we’re sure it will inspire a love for science for years to come! 👏🔍
Thank you, Mr. Franklin!
