Over the past two weeks, Ms. Waters’ 6–8 math students at O’Leary Middle School designed and built their own Geometric Cities from the ground up! 🏙️📐

Budding architects identified 2-D and 3-D shapes, applied their knowledge of area and perimeter to thoughtfully plan city layouts, and used shape patterns (nets!) to construct unique buildings and city features.

The project wrapped up with student presentations to Mrs. Mahlke, O’Leary’s librarian, who enjoyed touring a collection of creative, mathematically designed cities.
Each one was as unique as its creator!🤩

Growing Stories in the Classroom 🌱📖

Ms. Heinz’s 11th-grade English students are cultivating "Little Shop of Horrors" in the most creative way! Each student designed and built their own Audrey II out of playdough, and the results are both impressive and delightfully mischievous 😈🌿

It is always exciting to see literature bloom off the page and into students’ hands 👏

🌟 Help us celebrate Peggy Nickerson, 5th-grade teacher at Lincoln, and our Certified Employee of the Month! 🍎

Originally from Blackfoot, Peggy is a self-proclaimed “national park nerd” who loves visiting and learning about our national parks. She also enjoys disc golf and getting lost in a good book. Peggy hopes to pass on a love for the books she reads with her students. When asked about her best day on the job, she shared that there isn’t just one, everyday is filled with small joys, and we think that’s what makes her the wonderful teacher she is! 📖✨

From the principal:
“I am honored to recognize Peggy Nickerson as our Certified Employee of the Month. As a fifth-grade teacher, leadership team member, and grade-level lead, she brings a steady, calm presence to everything she does, managing her classroom with both kindness and grace. Peggy not only serves the students in her classroom, but all students in our building — consistently going above and beyond, supporting after-school events, and warmly welcoming new staff.”

💬 Share your appreciation for Peggy in the comments or tell us how she’s helped make your day brighter!

Teaming up to spreading kindness across Twin Falls ❤️🏈

The Twin Falls High School No One Eats Alone advisory students and Everybody Eats worked together to make a big impact! They helped decorate for a Super Bowl party, crafted strawberry and apple football treats, and shared love by creating handwritten Valentine’s Day cards for the Senior Citizen Center and Everybody Eats guests 💌

A total of 2,660 suckers were shared between Twin Falls High School and Canyon Ridge High School with the message, “You are loved!”

Thank you to Everybody Eats for hosting, and to the Twin Falls High School No One Eats Alone advisory and Mr. Carter’s Canyon Ridge High School Student Council for helping deliver smiles throughout our community 🍭💖🫶

Where I Am From: Reflecting and Sharing 📝🎤

Every semester, Ms. Leiser’s speech class at Twin Falls High School creates posters and speeches based on the poem “Where I Am From.” This project helps students reflect on their past—both the joyful moments and the challenges they’ve faced.

By sharing their stories through posters and presentations, students learn that others may have had similar experiences, while also building confidence to speak in front of an audience. 🌟💬🤝

Growing Leaders in Agriculture 🌾💼🏛️

Canyon Ridge FFA members expanded their horizons while attending the Gem State Leadership Conference in Boise. Underclassmen toured the Eagle Fish Hatchery, while juniors and seniors advocated for agriculture during a luncheon with state legislators. The group also came together for leadership workshops, a service project, and tours of both the State Capitol and Zeppole’s bakery warehouse.

This experience gave students valuable insight into leadership, service, and the impact of agriculture at the local and state level 🌟🤝

🎉 Help us congratulate Jeremy Ajeti, counselor at Bridge Academy and our Certified Employee of the Month! 👏

While the phrase “I don’t know” may be one of Jeremy’s pet peeves, he’s passionate about helping students replace those words with confidence. Through his advocacy, guidance, and support, Jeremy creates a community where students can discover their potential and purpose. With Jeremy in their corner, students have the space to grow beyond “I don’t know.” Outside of school, Jeremy enjoys archery and golf. He hopes to one day visit every Major League Baseball stadium ⚾🏟️

From the principal:
“Jeremy has been a tremendous addition to Bridge Academy! He balances compassion and understanding with real life expectations in a way few can! I’m so glad to have Jeremy on our team!”

💬 Celebrate Jeremy by leaving a kind word or sharing how he’s inspired you or your student!
