Week 25 was full of energy, growth, and memorable moments across our school community!

We kicked off the week with a schoolwide assembly, bringing everyone together to celebrate our shared goals and strengthen our sense of community. Throughout the week, classrooms were buzzing with student-centered rotations, where students took ownership of their learning and engaged deeply with hands-on activities.

With the unpredictable weather, we had a mix of indoor recess and some refreshing outdoor recess time. Whether inside or out, students made the most of their opportunities to play, connect, and recharge.

We also practiced important safety procedures with our fire drills. Students and staff did a great job following expectations and showing responsibility, helping ensure that everyone knows what to do in case of an emergency.

A big thank you to our incredible cooks who worked hard every day to prepare delicious meals for our students. Their dedication helps keep our kids fueled and ready to learn!

We enjoyed picture day, capturing smiles and memories that families will treasure. In addition, students spent time setting goals, reflecting on their progress, and planning their next steps for success.

Most importantly, both teachers and students showed up each day ready to work hard, support one another, and continue growing together. Week 25 truly showcased the dedication, resilience, and heart of our entire school community!

Yesterday we had some special visitors at Oregon Trail from Canyon Ridge's orchestra and band programs! They shared their talents and answered some questions for our 5th grade students as they get ready for middle school. Thanks, Ms. Jones and Ms. Atkin, for allowing your students to perform for us!

Barsa visited three classrooms during morning meeting yesterday. Students were engaged in conversations about their fluency goals, learning about the range of natural emotions we experience throughout the day, and practicing hand motions connected to our core values.

Thank you to our staff and students for starting the morning with such focus, positivity, and purpose.

Week 23 brought lots of sniffles and sickness. We missed so many of our sweet kiddos — and even some of our staff — but we are so thankful everyone has four days to rest, recover, and come back feeling better. ❤️

Even with absences, there were still so many bright spots! Our 5th graders had a blast creating sock puppets in Ms. Denny’s room, students bundled up and braved the chilly recess weather, and some of our 3rd graders have been working so hard practicing for their upcoming performance — we can’t wait to see them shine!

We wrapped up the week with a fun dress-up day filled with red, pink, and white. It was the perfect way to end Week 23! 💕

Week 22 was truly one to remember! Our school resource officer stopped by to connect with students, classrooms gathered on the carpet for engaging lessons, and students practiced respectful conversations with their peers. One-on-one support was provided as needed, and students worked hard throughout the week. We danced the night away at our family dance on Thursday evening, wrapped things up with a fun neon dress-up day, and one of our favorite moments was celebrating our amazing school counselor. What a fantastic week of learning, connection, and community!
