Today TFSD schools celebrate the upcoming holiday with Thanksgiving lunch. District administrators visited schools to help serve lunch and parents came out in droves to have lunch with their students. At Harrison Elementary School alone nearly 300 parents RSVPd to join the lunch time celebration! HAPPY EARLY THANKSGIVING!

🐻🎨 New Arrival at TFHS! 🎨🐻
We’re excited to announce that the Sam Glenn bear painting, generously donated by Patti Tucker, has officially found its new home in the front office! 🎉
We hope this piece brings you inspiration and a much-needed "Kick in the Attitude" whenever you pass by. 💪🌟

🍦✨ At Canyon Ridge, Freshman Foundations teacher Kristy Oberg is inspiring her students with a unit called "My Pursuit of Happiness"! 🌟
Students explored how happiness impacts our lives and discovered ways to boost their joy and success. As part of this engaging lesson, they researched why ice cream shops are often filled with happy people. To bring their findings to life, Mrs. Oberg led a fun activity where they made Ice Cream in a bag and discussed how this increases happiness! 🥳
What a fun way to look at the science behind happiness and a bonus was a delicious treat!🍦

📚✨ At Canyon Ridge High School, the Lunch-time in the Library program is buzzing with excitement! They focused on mental health and awareness, allowing students to create their own calming/mindful jars—perfect for winding down as the quarter wraps up.
Librarians Mrs. Boswell and Ms. Drennan also prepared jars for classrooms to promote mindfulness throughout the day. Now in its third year, this activity has become the most popular lunchtime event for both students and staff! 🧘♀️

Applause for Jessica Miller, Certified Employee of the Month! She is a Title 1 teacher at South Hills Middle School.
Jessica is originally from right here in Twin Falls, Idaho. She chose this career to inspire others to rise above their struggles. The best days on the job are family nights! She loves planning, organizing, and working with students and staff to invite families to learn together. She is best described as action-oriented and draws inspiration from her peers, students, and family. Her favorite hobby outside work is following her three daughters on their many softball adventures. Most people don’t know Jessica used to drive an NHRA dragster at 160 mph in 8 seconds! Her biggest pet peeve is not refilling the toilet paper roll. And she would love to go on an exotic vacation to somewhere warm.
