Canyon Ridge High School Announces Vice Principal for the 2022-23 School Year

The Twin Falls School District #411 Board of Trustees is pleased to announce D.J. Gilbert will be an Associate Principal at Canyon Ridge High School for the 2022-23 school year. They made this announcement Monday, July 11 at their regularly scheduled board meeting.

Associate principals at the high school level are tasked with a wide variety of duties including monitoring student attendance, administering the disciplinary policy for the school, and ensuring the classroom environment is conducive to learning.

Gilbert currently 

works as a seventh and eighth-grade history teacher at Robert Stuart Middle School, where he has worked since 2016. Prior to joining the Twin Falls team, Gilbert worked as an eighth-grade history teacher at Mountain View School in Phoenix, AZ. He has worked with the RSMS building leadership team and served as a grade level and department lead.

Gilbert is currently pursuing a master's in education administration from Idaho State University. He holds a bachelor of science in secondary education.

I have thoroughly enjoyed serving our students and families within the Twin Falls School District as both a teacher and coach for the past 6 years, and I am excited and eager to continue that service as an administrator. GO HAWKS!” Gilbert said. 

Gilbert will fill the role of Bill Hicks who is taking a position with the Hagerman School District.
